Oliver White Hill Center, Roanoke, Virginia

In April of 2007, the Oliver White Hill Foundation, with the help of the City of Roanoke, bought the house at 401 Gilmer Ave in Roanoke, Virginia (pictured below). where Mr. Hill lived as a child.  The home has been designated as a historic site.  The Foundation is restoring the property to be used as a center where law students will provide free legal services to area residents.  Washington and Lee University School of Law, the Virginia Department of Aging, Virginia's Blue Ridge Legal Services Organization, the City of Roanoke and Roanoke's Total Action Against Poverty (TAP) are supporting the Foundation on this project.
